Introduction

There is a need to perform a measure of economic related public functions by farmer organizations, in a form of Public Body, on self-administration way to reduce the role of the state in these cases.

The Chamber of Agriculture of Budapest fulfils its task as it was stated in the law: no.: CXXI. 1999, and it was registered as prominently public benefit organization and has been in force since the 12 of September, 2001.

Since the 1st. of September, 2000. another law regulate the run of the economic chamber, in the terms of the new law of chamber. The obligatory membership was changed to a voluntary membership. According to the renewed law and the new record the chamber placed its work on new bases, and renewed its services by taking into consideration the voluntary members' needs and expectations.
